Global Peace Services-USA (GPS-USA) is a movement to create a professional peace service by promoting education and skills-training for men and women based on a philosophy of active nonviolence. Together with others in a growing national and international network we want to hasten the day when many women and men will earn their living in peace services. Some may serve for several years; others may have a full career of professional service.
Global Peace Service Contributed to formation of Global Peace Services as initial sponsor and participant in "Seeds of Peace: Harvest of Hope" bringing together more than 200 diplomats, civil servants, former gang leaders, church workers, peace activists, active and retired military, conscientious objectors, college students, teachers, musicians, scientists, and more for a collaborative consultation at the Church Center across from the United Nations.
